Sell your boat with Broads Boat Sales - the Norfolk Broads boat agents
Why sell with us?
We aim to make the process of selling your boat as easy and painless as possible. By performing fully-accompanied viewings at all times, we can ensure the safety of your boat. Our 'no sale, no fee' policy is simple and straight-foward - all we ask is that you give us a few days' notice should you want to withdraw so we can cancel any viewings. With over 1,000 hits a day across our adverts, the average period between listing and sale on our site last year was just six weeks! And if that isn't enough, we also provide you with a direct, personal number to your sales agent who will deal with your boat from start to finish. We list and photograph your boat from your own mooring - allowing you to continue using your boat while we sell it. If this isn't possible for any reason, we can usually arrange a berth at one of our affiliated boat yards.
The process
To get the ball rolling, fill out as much information as possible about your boat in the form above or give us a call on 01692 649 010.
- We'll arrange a time to meet you at your boat to inspect and photograph it.
- We'll then get your boat on our website (and other avenues) as quickly as possible (usually a few hours).
It couldn't be simpler. We do ask for sole agency while your boat is on our books - this means you can't advertise it elsewhere and enables us to give your boat the best chance with our marketing. We advertise on all the popular sites and boating magazines so your boat will get the best exposure possible. We always call ahead before a viewing.
The legal stuff in four points
It is your responsibility to ensure your craft is insured for third party liability and presented in a saleable condition that is safe for Broads Boat Sales employees and potential customers to view.
You will sign to declare that all the particulars are, to the best of your knowledge, correct and that you have the power to dispose of the vessel with the concurrence of any joint owners.
We request sole agency so if you sell outside our agency, you will be liable for the full rate of commission at our agreed listing price. Much better to cancel with 10 working days written notice and incur no fee!
Should you cancel a sale after we've taken a holding deposit from a customer, or remove your boat from our agency within six weeks of listing it, you will be liable for £175 administrative charges. This is just to ensure you give us a fair chance to sell your boat as we'll put a lot of work in!
